SOS Children’s Village BC provides support to foster families living in the Fraser Valley Region of British Columbia. Included in this support is a village on which 5 foster families live on a 2.5 acre site. The goal of the physical village is to enhance family to family support and create a community for children living in foster care where they develop a true sense of belonging and cooperation. The village provides subsidized housing adequate to meet the needs of foster caregivers with 4-6 children in each home, therapeutic services, in-home support and consultation, as well as funding academic assistance, camps and recreation.
In addition to the village site, the above services are offered to other foster families in the Fraser Valley Region by referral.
